Hey guys, new to the forum...I have a '95 CBR F3 and Im tryin to change the whole tail to the '97-'98' tail. Is it a straight conversion with new plastics and light or is the sub frame different. Any imput would be awesome.

I think it's straightforward, you'll need the side pieces, center thingie, brake light housing, and the seat.

yep straight swap. i have that tail on my bike. minus the plastics. airtech makes a solo tail that covers the passenger seat but still allows you to use the stock seat. its on the way. possibly for sale when i get it since my bike is wrecked...

I would go with a tail swap, or the complete tail kit, not the seat cowl only, and I am not using Airtech...

Let's see why...

1. The cowl came cut like it was produced on a Friday, 5 minutes before Miller time. Meaning sloppy work.

Maybe the luck of the draw...but...
