Default Swingarm Swap

Hi people,
I am looking at possibly doing a swingarm swap. I found this on another site http://cbrworld.net/forums/thread/291863.aspx. It details the installation of a 900rr swingarm on our F3. I have the opportunity to buy a 929rr swingarm, and was wondering if there is a difference between it and the 900rr swingarm, or can I swap it much like the 900rr article details? Any input is appreciated.
Thanks,
Mike

Hmmm, interesting indeed.

I don't like how high the rear end sits and this can't be good for going fast in the twisties.

IMO if the guy would have shortened his top shock mount during fabrication he would have eliminated the high *** end which is no good as he mentioned.

If you go this route and cut off the OEM linkage mounts from the frame your committed to finish the project unless you have a clear titled F3 frame sitting around for this project...

I would say yes it could be done if you want something different and you have a complete shop with tools and a month of evenings and weekends, this is something you can't do in the back yard.

If you do this project just remember to raise the height of the top shock mount to level the bike and it could work as a show bike addition because I don't think it does much for the actual suspension as an upgrade except for looks.

I have the f4 shock on my f3, I don't have problems in lean. I can dang near scrape a knee with it on. Check out my avatar.

He is wanting to swap out the F4 swingarm not the shock.
