swingarm/chain tensioner breaking?
So i stop by the stealership today and buy some chain lube, go home hop on my bike and ride to my homies house....when i get there he helps me lube my chain.....i ride around the parking lot and go to adjust my chain to notice !!!!! my freakin chain tensioner is gone !!!! snapped clean in half the part with the threads all the way down to where the axle goes through...and the swing arm was warped LAME as fut, so our ride today was shot, anybody else ever had this happen? i swear that wrecked bike i bough was the best investment ever, (minor front end damage, forks screwed, rest of the bike a ok) took me an hour and a half to fix.

RE: swingarm/chain tensioner breaking?
I second the thoughts on the "stealership", they're out to get you just like car dealerships. As for the adjuster breaking, that's new one on me. I can think of two possible causes. 1, is maybe it was cracked and just failed over time, or 2, maybe the axle nut was tightened too much. That adjuster is only made of cast aluminum, not exactly the strongest thing in the world. I believe the torque is 67' lbs for the axle nut. If someone used an impact wrench, I could see that happening.
Maybe someone else has some other ideas.

RE: swingarm/chain tensioner breaking?
when i changed out the sprockets/chain i noticed that one of my chain tensioners were broke and someone welded it back together, so i threw it away and bought new ones off ebay for $20 heres a link to one for $26 http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/97-HO...QQcmdZViewItem
and as for how it broke i really dont know but mabe the axle nut was real tight and when you hit a bump the chain got tighter thus pulling the wheel forward and breaking the tensioner
