Sump difference between 96 & 98

Sump difference between 96 & 98
Hi Guys,
I was swapping out my clutch yesterday with my brother in law and he by accident tightened the sump plug instead of loosening it and it resulted in the cracking of the sump. We hopped onto ebay in Aus and there was nothing so it looks like it has to come from the US. When we were on the US site there are a few 96 sumps but not 97-98 ones, when I when onto online Honda parts websites It seems as though the 95-96 and the 97-98 have different sumps as they have different part numbers? But does anyone know if a 96 would fit onto a 98????? or advice why they will not?????? Any information would be greatly appreciated.
