I would imagine you can get another stock swing arm, cut yours and the other one and weld how many ever inches you want onto yours from the other swing arm. Mine was a also a custom swing arm. I can take some pics and let you lokk how it was welded.

IMHO i wouldn't recommend trying it yourself, you need a jig to keep it exactly straight. If it isn't perfect you sprockets may not line up i wouldn't imagine...Just something you may want to check into

well id think that as long as its the same distance when welded back up then it would be fine

say 8 inches as long as its welded back same size then it would be fine all input to make sure i know what im doing is helpful

You really should have a jig. you dont have to worry about just the length, you have to worry about the side to side straightness as well as the straightness across the top and bottom.

Even .005" out at the axle will be dramatic at the outer reaches of the wheel. And if you are an experienced welder, then you know how bad things pull when they are welded. that much weld all around the swing arm and it will not be straight. If its not locked down in a jig, it will pull all over the place.

If you take into account that the chains center to center distance increases as it moves from the front sprocket to the rear, thenI would guess you would need a chain that is 17 inches longer than your stock one. 8 iches per side, plus an inch for center to center distance increase. this is only an estimate. I would buy a chain that was at least 20 inches longer than your stock. you can always cut off the extra links you dont need.
