just a update. I replaced the cdi box out of a running 98 smokin joe edition and no change. I have a few more ideas in mind ill let you know when i find it.

Sound to me like your flooding the plugs. I had the same problem. Try taking the air box off one cold sat morning when you dont have work and see if she starts then with more air in the fuel mix.

Plugs come out clean. Ive had the airbox off and even sprayed contact cleaner down the carbs with no change.

Are they clean but wet? or clean and dry? Are they a new set?

Anyway, try turning your idle **** up when starting.

Is the bike in a garage or outside at night? Could you have moisture that evaporates during the day or when it is warm?
Let us know when you find the problem.
