Sprocket vs Speedohealer
Long story short. After riding around for a day with my brother (he rides an F4i) he complained that my cruising speed is always below the speed limit. Obviously not on MY speedometer. So with a GPS and some testing I verified my speedometer to be a bit more than 8% out.
Yes, I can get a Speedohealer from Healtech for about $120 CD + shipping. Or, I can solve this deviation by going +1 on the front sprocket (math is already verified) for $21 CD. I like the idea of changing the sprocket as it solves 3 issues for me. 1 its cheap. 2 fixes my speedo issue. 3 lowers my highway speed RPM's (my bike is loud, and yes I like it rhat way).
Has anyone run a final drive ratio of 16/43? Will I notice a huge loss in acceleration? Mainly, will I hate it. Your opinions and tech support are of great value to me. Thanks in advance.

Your options are many. You can change one sprocket, and correct your issues. You (depending on riding style and rider weight) may not be able to power wheelie any more, if that isn't a concern then do it. The faster you ride in general the more noticeable the gearing change will become. There are several different speedo healers available for about 75 (usd) and up plus shipping out there which allow you to change sprockets and maintain proper speedo / odometer readings. I have stepped up one and two teeth (520 conversions) on the front and only noticed that in the top two gears at high speeds they seem more drawn out.
Hey Bryce. Thanks for the reply. Since you've only noticed a difference in the top gears, can I safely say that off the line acceleration is hardly changed at all? I am a little guy
and any wheelies I do are low speed clutch pops. What do you think?

my f3 was 16/43 when i bought it..i absolutely hated it. WAY too much low end power loss. not to mention how much you have to slip the clutch to engage 1st gear without stalling. which in turn, wears out your clutch faster..i would go with the healer..there's a guy on ebay that does the healer/gipro combo..thats the route i went..
