sprocket change
My friend before I bought the bike put two vortex sprockets on it -1/-2 and it revs high as hell. I am thinking of now going +4 this would be +2 from the stock. I heard that since I did the F4i gauge conversion it is on the money this way. Is that true or someone blowing smoke? Also what can I expect from the bike itself. Will it react way different or slightly? Can I get the front end up this way for the first time, lol?

The theoretical top speed at redline with stock gearing is 171 mph (not realistic, but just using for comparison purposes). Currently with your sprockets, it's only slightly lower at 167 mph. Not a significant change in the amount of RPM's in any gear. Going from -2 to +2 in the rear is going to drop the top speed to 153 mph. If you think it revs now, it's really going to be revving with that gearing. There goes your fuel efficiency, although I get the feeling you're not interested in that...

the gauges should be fairly close with that gearing, that's what i have -1/+2 as far as i can tell its pretty close to being on the money with the f4i gauges. i think if you change them you will have alot more appreciation for your bike too. you will probably find it to be much peppier and more fun to ride too
