speedometer works part time

I have a 96 cbr 600 f3 and every once in awhile the speedometer wont register until i tap on the gauge. I am just curious if there is something that needs tightened or any other suggestions?

well...somethings loose..make sure all the plugs are plugged in into the back of the cluster
