Ok so to not hijack another thread, here is my problem. [:@]

I have a 95 F3, and the speed goes to 50mph at any speed over about 5mph. After you get up to around 90mph (used a buddy riding beside me to verify) the speedo starts going back to zero as you go faster. The reasonI am concerned is thatI just bought a new bike, and wanted to sell this one, but the stateI work in actually rides the bike durring inspection, and it will not pass.No pass= no sale. Just another note, the trip meter and odometer function fine.

Anyone have or seen this problem, and any suggestions are welcomed.

 

Speedo unit itself is bad, just had the same problem. Odo and trip works fine, but the MPH part didn't work.

It also say this in the manual.

 

Thanks for the heads up. Were you able to replace yours? If so, did you get a new or used one?

 

Just replace the speedo unit, when I purchase the parts bike the gauges mounting taps were broken. So I open up the gauges and swapped the speedo unit out. Work just fine now.
