speedo healer. $110 will make it accurate, i just try to keep the math in my head, there are many more fun parts i'd rather spend the dough on. ha ha ha

This site has them, but ebay usually boast a few as well for a bit cheaper...

my speedo is off too, but there are 2 ways i keep from getting pulled over. 1. go with traffic. 2. it just so happens that when i'm in 6th gear my tach tells me how fast i'm going. 6000 rpm is 60mph 4500 is 45 mph. 20,000 rpm... just kidding. if it's at 20k i'm laying on the side of the road dead somewhere and my bike is all blown up.

when under heavy acceleration the back tire will spin for a second and then grip and pull the front wheel of the ground a few inches. i have NO idea what the previous owners did to it. I've rode other 600's before and this seems like it has alot more power than the others which were newer ever had. Like an 08 Ninja zx6 didn't seem to have as much power as my 96 f3.

i forgot about that method, i used this site the first week to figure out what different gears would do, its pretty accurate though it doesn't take into affect wind or anything. but its handy all the same..

here's an interesting idea for you kids
my original gauges were quite off when i got my bike.
163mph indicated was more in the 140's.
so i thought about shelling out 110 bucks for a SH and getting it corrected.

Instead I got the f4i gauges for (110 bucks), got new 520 sprockets (-1,+0) (30 bucks), and my friend made me a mount for 0 bucks.

140 bucks, and my bike is accurate (gps/clocked/and car tested) to within 1mph from doing the mod alone.

Hope that give you guys some ideas

I am having this problem with my newly purchased F3 I thought the clutch was slipping but was told it was the tire spinning and that someone had definately done some work to because it ran stronger than most other 600's. I also noticed when running with traffic in a 55mph zone my speedo says 75. The honda shop here told me that the sprocket had been upgraded as well as the bike having a 180 tire on it instead of the stock 160. Does this sound right? He said the speed was measured from the engine on this bike and either sprocket being upgraded as weel as the tire could both throw it off! Not sur eI am new to the game

180 and 160 in the width of the tire... so the odds that that would change the speedo are so minute they aren't worth the worry, that is unless the second number (i.e. 180/70R16) is different, that is the sidewall width ratio, that will change the outer diameter of the tire, and cause more travel per revolution, but sprockets will definitely change the final drive ratio which will change the speedo accuracy...
