speedo ?

Default speedo ?

will the speedo gear off of a f2 fit on an f3. i was goin over my bike to day tryin to see why the speedo was inop. and i figured out that the motor they put in was from an f2. so know i have no choice but to change the motor to an f3 or get the parts from an f2. so just wondering

I don't believe it will. The F2 gets its speedometer reading from a cable and gear attached to the front wheel. The speedometer on F3's is electronic. It needs electrical pulses that come from a sensor on the F3 engine.

i know about that. i was wondering if i could take the f2 part off the wheel and put it on the f3, take the speedo cluster and the cable

On that note, does that mean one of those electronic speedo adjusters would work on my '97? Because my speedo is about 16% optimistic, which is crazy.

You'd most likely need the entire f2 front end to run the geared speedo, ie. forks, front wheel, rotors, calipers...

Yeah, a speedohealer would work just fine for your bike.
