hi guys, newbie here. i'm thinking of moving up from my 2007 ninja 250 to a bigger bike and came upon a nice (perhaps?) deal for a '97 F3 at $950. the price kinda stinks of desperation, and the owner has said that it needs a new battery, new tires, and the fairings are scuffed up (not cracked though)... it has 35K miles and had its engine rebuilt an undisclosed amount of miles ago (i don't think he knows). i'm hoping this is just a killer deal, but since the bike won't start up, is there anything i could do to check if it's fixable? any input would be appreciated.

I'd look elsewhere. No telling what that bike really needs.

Plus, I would'nt think that a '97 would need an engine rebuild after just 35K miles. Must've been rode hard or been a trackbike.
