My dad made this a while back and it just so happens its sooo helpful to use when pulling carbs on F3's while the engine is still in the frame. It just unscrews the top side of the boot that connects to the carbs. It's roughly 21" long and is 3/16" wire with a small screwdriver tip welded on. Hopefully this idea will ease the pain for all the fellow riders out there that attempt the carb removal!

no, you just have to pull them off the intakes, it takes some effort if it hasn't been done in a while, and somtimes some leverage, but yes, the honda manual shows them being taken off with the boots on them. It can be accomplished relatively easily with a foot and a half long or longer #2 screwdriver. What you do is find the screw with your finger, find the finger with the driver, then once you're on it turn it out a whole bunch and do it to all of them. Spraying wd 40 on the boots helps soften them up and won't hurt the rubber. Hopefully that helps, mine were an ordeal to get off the first time.
