ok i have a definite buyer for my SJ.. Only problem now is it wont start?? Im sure its been covered but need quick opinions...ok so it has sat for about a month without being touched, the batt is dead but put one of those jumper boxes on, cleaned the plugs just incase, put choke on and it just cranked and cranked? I smell fuel and it feels so close to starting but wont..carbs were cleaned exactly one year ago...what else should i do??? p.s...i have an f2 rim and tire for sale in great cond. for sale lol thanks!!!

 

There's lots that could be happening, check if the spark plugs are firing, check if you have fuel, also as it was sitting a while the fuel might have gone off, the severity depending on the conditions

 

dosnt matter if the carbs were cleaned a year. theres some very crude fuels out there and ive seen built from this girls f3 she only bought 87 octane and from this chinsey joint cheap as f. left it over one winter with no fuel additives one year after i cleaned them professionally. the build up was ridiculus. i would check the sparks, then the carbs.

yea i think shes mad at me but need the $$...someone recommended starter fluid? is there anything else thats possible? i have less than a week and absolutely no chance of getting into the carbs again..its sooooo close like if i put a spark under is a** it'll fire right up
