Is this safe?
hello, i bought a F4i rear shock the other day off ebay and my question is, should i just use the stock linkage or what? it came with the F4i linkage and it makes the bike alot lower to the ground compared to using the F3 linkage with the F4i shock and i was wanting to know is this safe?? pictures

Sometrack day guyswould use the F4i shock on a stock F3 linkage...the added ride height in the rear made it turn in great...but it would develope a high speed wobble in the worst cases.
Not sure what the f4i linkage looks like....but if it takes you closer to OEM height, it should be OK. Those linkages are design to work on the given bike....the angle of the shock relative to the linkage and what the "neutral" location is all matter. If it feels good, its probably is safe.
I had my F3 shock revalved for $150...

ya the ride height isnt the problem acturally with the F4i linkage it is the same as stock, my question was is it safe that this linkage dosent have bearings? you can see in the picture that is dosent and i think it might bind up or something, i got it together today and it rode great but i dont think it will work forever like that because it might wear into the bolt or bind or whatever, and the f3 linkage has bearings there so i figured they put them there for a reason and i guess i need to come up with a idea of putting bearings there thanks anywase though
