Default Ride or trailer

im picking up my bike this week and it is going to be nice out.

i want to ride it home since its just side streets and less than 10 miles.

some people told me to trailer it.

I don't know how much snow and ice you still have there. I'm in Indianapolis and everything just really started to melt. All the side streets around here are still covered in 1"+ of ice. So I would drive the route in you car first.

all the streets ill be driving are snow and ice free now. and its only gonna get nicer through out the week. my concern is the left over salt on the roads. should that be a big issue if i washed the bike after the ride.
