Default Replacement Callipers?

Hopefully someone here will know the answer to this.

I have the stock front callipers on my F3 but wouldn't mind a bit more braking mumbo. Does anyone know if there are any better callipers around that are straight bolt on in place of stock? Maybe 4 pistons per calliper? Also would you have to upgrade the master cylinder to handle the additional pressure?

What if you upgrade the rotor and pads?

Already done both. Upgraded rotors to high friction carbon composite race discs. Much better than stock. Upgraded pads to Goodridge Sintered. Its not that bad, but you can certainly notice the difference when you get on something with better brakes

did u install steel brake lines as well? that makes a difference as well. - not sure what an upgrade would be for the calipers though.

Doesn't sound like ther eis much room for improvement....you should be able to stand on the front wheel with one finger on the brakes with what you have now...? Just move your hand out to the end of thehandle bar a little so you are squeezing the brake handle further toward the end...haha..

I am sure for $1000 Performance Machine makes calipers and a master cylinder that fit....Or Brembo...Brembo's supermoto kits are like 800 with a rotor. I really doubt there is anything right out of the honda parts bin that bolts right on....

Or you could swap to an F4 front end which has 4 piston Nissan calipers....the steering stem bolts right in. I am currently building an F3 with an complete F4i front end...not done yet, and won't have it on the track until next spring when the snow melts. I am hoping the rake and trail numbers get along for me.

good luck

Could look into getting f4 or f4i calipers, i know they're 4 piston, just don't know if they'd fit since they're for different' size rotors. Might also get the f4 or f4i's rotors while you're at it. Also, one other thing you could do is upgrade your brake master cylinder. Brembo has some nice ones for about $250. I just ordered one today, but more cuz the stupid vortex clip-ons wouldn't fit
