Question rear indicator light stays on

the left rear turn signal indicator stays illuminated as well as both the turn signal indicator lights on the cluster. all the other turn signals are fine. the signal/choke switch is bad. i know that for a fact but it doesnt seem like the switch being bad would cause a "feedback" style issue like this. any ideas folks? im going to replace the switch regardless im just wondering if i should stay prepared for further issues

seems like the left switch you're gonna replace is the culprit.
also, consider cleaning the contacts on your gauge cluster,
and checking to make sure there are no bad wires to your signals (aka frays, or bad grounds)

im not sure when it started. it was like that when my brother got the bike. the bike was wrecked and the cluster was replaced cuz it still has "junkyard" numbers on it <--------explains itsself. it almost seems like a bad ground indeffinatley or like it is getting feedback. everything is plug and play connectors to my knowledge so i kind of eliminated the possibilty of wires being crossed. and i see on the diagram that there is a common frame ground(dark green and green/black) wires. ill try and clean that
