Default Rear Axle Bolt

Hello there.
Just a quick question. Does anyone see a safety or mechanical issue with installing the Rear Wheel Axle Bolt through the right side of the swingarm, rather than the left? This would put the nut on the left side of the bike.

Thanks,
Mike

I can't see it causing any problem, but the question is
WHY ?
Will it be easier for you to work on the bike that way ?

When riding over heavy bumps, the axle nut hits my muffler slightly. I don't want to puncture the muffler and the bolt head is smaller and has a lower profile than the nut. This is happening for two reasons...

1. My F3 is lowered 1" front and rear (I'm short).
2. I swapped end cans from a 4" diameter Hindle, to a 5" Diameter Yoshimura RS-3.

I figure rather than cutting and welding the mid pipe again, I can simply flip the axle bolt to gain the little bit of clearance I need.

Thanks for the reply.
