Workin F3 now will not start.
Hey guys, my F3 was workin great, then I stored it for winter and did some tinkering on it. The shed it is in get very cold, but no weather gets on it. I also warm it up for 1 hour before going in to work on it. Ample time to warm the motor I'd think.
Replaced a voltage regulator, wired in some new signals front and rear and put in a new k and n air filter (it had an old one that I didnt know about and when I opened it up i figured I may as well replace it with my new one)
Also I drained the tank of gas when I took it off.
When I put everything back together battery was dead from turining key on and off so much to test my lights. I put a small quick charge on it from another battery (kinda like jumping it, I know you are not supposed to) and filled my gas tank back and opened petcock valve to on.
Bike wont start now, I got everything soundin like it should fire, but it wont. I even split the fuel line after fuel pump to make sure fuel is flowing, and it is. The battery is fully dead now. Im brining home a trickle charger tonite and disconecting battery to charge it properly.
Welllll, any ideas why?? This is very confusing to me. Thanks for any sugestions.

When you drained the tank, did you also drain the carburetor bowls ? Having new fuel in the tank isn't going to flow into the carburetors for a long time. I'd drain all the fuel from the carbs and fuel lines. Most likely it's just some bad fuel that won't fire the engine up. The other possibility of course is clogged jets in the carbs and a good cleaning is in order.
BTW
If you're letting your bike idle for an hour, you're running your battery down during that time. Idle engine speed is not enough to keep the battery charged. 5 minutes is more than enough time to warm the engine before riding.
