Quick Question
I was riding my bike today, didn't ride too long. Well I got home, and parked on the sidewalk like I usually do. It started looking like it was going to rain so I thought I should put the bike up. Well, it just kept turning over, and turning over. It sounded like it almost wanted to start, but it never did until I tried pulling the choke a little bit. Then it started right up. I got it to where I park it, and shut it off. Tried starting it again, and it fired right up without using the choke. Anyone know what would cause this? Is it something I should be concerned with? This is the first issue I've ever had with the bike other than a dead battery.
I just bought the bike from a dealer in Feb. They said I didn't have to worry about any of that yet. They might have been lying.. I haven't done anything to it except check fluids, and tire pressure.
some people will say anything to make the sale. clean the carbs.
lol... don't touch the carbs... leave it alone, you can potentially make a probelm from nothing.
The bike fired up, it's normal that if it cools down it'll need a little help from choke to start up. Don't worry about it. It's the same thing as your car, when it's cold it'll start a little rougher, but when warm it'll start up easy.

our bikes like to be (are meant to be) started with the choke. if yours starts with the choke, dont worry about it

bikes cool off faster than you think, even though they are warm to the touch,
they are significantly cooler than a running engine.
i bring my bike inside for the rain, and it will stay "warm" for 4 hours.
i still need the choke to get her back up.
Thanks for the replies. It was really easy to start as soon as I used the choke, so you guys are probably right. I just wasn't sure about it. Still new to the whole bike thing. This is my first one.
