Putting 98 carbs on a 95 F3.
Hi,
I have just got hold of some as new 98 carbs & I have been told that they should go straight on my 95 F3 without any probs, but the haynes manual states that the main jets for a 95 are (uk spec) 135 & 138, & for a 98 they are 138 & 140. Will the bike run ok if I just leave the jets as is or should I swap the 95 jets in the 98 carbs.
Many thanks in advance for any replies.

I would reccomend swapping the jets. The '98 carbs have a sensor that I believe is for the air/fuel ratio but since your '95 wont be using this it may run alright rich but might also cause you aggrivation down the road with tuning or other things. Plus youre simply robbing yourself of power.
