Ive recently bought a bike my first a cbr 600 f3 i bought the bike for 800 bucks because it needs new fairings and also has a couple of problems that im willing to fix just need help figureing out what they are the first main problem is a knocking in the top of the motor almost sounds like a lifter knocking in a car any ideas?????? and the next problem is i can shift throught all my gears but when i get to neutral there is a rattling sounds sounds like bearings on the back (left side of clutch) it will do this for about 4 seconds then pop back into gear any more ideas any help would be great thanks and also does anyone know where i can get a used cheap motor for another cbr 600 f3 thanks sincerely wes

 

Sounds like the motor noise is valves begging to be checked and adjusted.

The shifting is the most severe issue. Probably is worn out synchros deep inside the transmission.

The other noise your describing is most likely a normal clutch noise.
