Default Pilot Screw Question

First off, I apologize for the stupid question I'm about to ask.....
I've done this several times but for some reason, my brain has shut down and I can't remember something.

For my '98 600 f3, On the pilot screw, does it go; needle -> spring -> washer -> O-ring, or needle -> spring -> O-ring -> washer?

I can't explain why this has vanished from my brain but for some reason it has. I've looked in the manual and can't find it stated anywhere. Also, I've searched the forums and can't see anywhere where it says specifically.

Thanks.

Here's a link to a parts diagram. Looks like needle, spring, washer, o-ring. The washer would protect the o-ring from being cut by the spring.

Thanks gpfan1!
I did go out on one of the vendors sites and looked but I still couldn't tell which was which.
I did however dig around on another forum and there was a great post from someone. He actually had a close up picture with it all laid out. And it was in deed; needle, spring, washer, o-ring. Once I saw it, it instantly hit me why it had to be that way. Just as you said it is to protect the o-ring.
Getting older sucks...... :-)
