Picked up my first bike...
Nothing really to show. I spent all Saturday working on a car, so I only had a little time to put towards the bike today. I installed the headlight. I can say without question or hesitation that the headlight sockets are not H7. I picked up H7 sockets and the prongs are too narrow. I couldn't find any H4s, so I ended up picking up some H7 lights to go with the sockets. I hooked it up just like a search on here.
I combined the grounds and soldered them to the stock green wire. I then soldered the power wire of one socket to the stock white wire (low beam) and soldered the power wire of the other socket to the stock blue wire (high beam). Everything works as it should. I also mounted the integrated turn signal/mirrors. I haven't wired them up, though.
I then moved back to the rear seat. I ended up fabricating seat mounts. I don't have a hidden compartment to speak of, so I'm not too concerned with making the seat stationary. Fabricating the mounts took a lot longer than I wanted, so that pretty much ended my day. I started putting in the under tail panel I made, but stopped to make dinner. It'll have to wait until the next weekend.
It's getting a lot closer, but I still have to fabricate the fairing mounting brackets.

I thought I might be able to use the F3 fairing stay. When I finally installed the headlight, however, I realized it will not work. I'll either need to pony up the dough for an F4i fairing stay, or drastically modify the F3 fairing stay to work. I'm not sure what I'm going to do yet.
I'm finished for now. As you can tell, I changed the color. The white really wasn't doing it for me. I'm so much happier with this. I still need to mount the mirrors/turn signals and change the tires, but I'm done for now.

I liked the white/black contrast better, but I couldn't get the white to shine like I like (I'm a novice at painting). This blue is shining a lot more than the white and I haven't color sanded it yet. I'm just happy to have it ridable again before riding season really started.
