Petcock issues

The two hoses that aren't connected to anything are on the tank, right above the petcock.

One is the breather tube, and one is a drain tube, you'll see where they go in the above pictures. there in a bracket that kind of holds them there.

I see the bracket you are talking about and both tubes but I don't see where they go exactly. Maybe I will have to just wait and deal with it when I pull the tank off.

They're attached to the bottom of the tank. You have to disconnect them when you take the tank off. You disconnect those 2 hoses and the fuel line to the petcock in order to remove the gas tank. The bracket is there to hold the ends of the hoses while the tank is off so they dont fall all the way to the ground.

No, I see where they connect to the tank, but do the hoses connect to anything else?? or do they just hang around?? Thats what I was trying to figure out.

From what I see in the service manual, they just hang there.

Alright I just picked up the new petcock assembly. So now I will attempt to remove the tank.

So, I just remove the two bolts and it should come off right?
