Default Oil consumption?

Does any one know what’s the oil consumption on a 95 F3
I’ve been driving mine like forever and it doesn’t seem to drop
It’s got about 8500miles on the clock

Yep, God's in heaven and all is right with the world, not using oil, means no leaks, and engine is in fine trim.

Default RE: Oil consumption?

The thing is, my fuel tap closing properly.(If you closed it with the tank of there was still fuel coming) and I was afraid that there might have gone some fuel in the oil thru the carbs.
I’ve been driving this bike a month know. When I got it I changed the filter and oil because it was probably standing for a year or two (project bike)
My dealer recommended as oil MOTUL 15W50 ESTER motorcycle oil.
I filled the bike with 3.5L of oil which filled her up to the F mark and it’s done about 2500km up to know.

When I fixed the tap I drained the oil just to check. I drained about 3.25L.
The oil looks a bit thin but no smell of fuel. I checked the new oil I had left in the bottle and it looks kind of thin as well compared to normal motor oil but I can’t really make up my mind.

This oil is expensive so I don’t just want to chuck it out (in South Africa oil and fuel is fairly expensive compared to the US) but I don’t want to damage the engine either.
