Today finially got the bike running enought to ride it around the block. Got back home an saw the warpage of the plactic by the header pipe and the anti/coolant cap. If this just happen just riding around the block a couple time. Now if I ride up and down the highway, how it is going to hold up.
Decided to Rhino the OEM plactic and re-install it. Then keep the China in storage for the just incase.

I had a similar issue with mine, but the reason they warped is because they were basically touching the header. I went to Menards and got some 3M foil tape and stuck it to the inside of the plastic. Haven't had any issues since.

I used foil tape on the back of my hongy plastics and the only place there is any heat warpage is on the bottom if the right lower fairing, where it rests against the pipe itself. I put on about 10-12 layers at that spot, it still warped a little, just kinda 'form fits' the pipe. I think the tape kept it from actually melting. I've riden 8 1/2 hours straight on the highway and nothing else has had any problems.
