Default Odometer/trip meter

stupid question probably but do you guys know possibly why the trip meter/odometer is not working on my bike...it was set up for track so I don't know if something was disconnected for that purpose or maybe my gauges are crapped out? Everything else works though as far as the speedomoter and Tach so I don't see why that wouldn't work----also my temp gauge isnt't working either but that doesn't seem to be an unusual problem with the cbr's and I have my fan hooked up to a switch so it's always on.

So is it new gauges time or are these simple problems to fix if I had the manual and the know how?

the trip meter is known for going bad. with yoru bike being set up for the track i would deffinetly check and make sure things are hooked up how they were meant to be. alos re hook up your fan the right way and get it off that switch.

yeah you don't want your fan on all the time, I think in all the time I have had my bike it has only come on a dozen times.

I would but i don't trust it being on the thermostat by itself since my temp gauge doesn't even work....I don't think I'll ever get rid of this bike once I figure out all my headaches----oh well what you won't do for the love of a sport

well sounds like you really need a good solid day of tear down and explore. see exactly why your temp gauge doesnt work (along with your other meters) and get your bike into optimal riding condition. basic maintenace is often over looksed and its amazing how much better a bike will run when its taken care of properly
