Default No fuel? Maybe.

i did an engine rebuild on my 95 F3, i have 120 pounds of compression (should go up once valves seat properly). I have spark. But it wont start. wont even fire. i sprayed ether down the throats and nothing at all. but when i put gas down the throats you could tell it wanted to fire, there was less strain on the starter like it was being helped. I checked the fuel pump and it works fine, any help please?

simular to what happened to me
make sure the carbs are sitting tight down on the engine with no air leaks on the inlet rubbers

make sure fuel lines are not getting squashed

fill the fuel lines (after pump, before carbs) with fuel and then connect pump on

make sure the leads are on correctly left coil goes to 2 and 3 right coil goes to 1 and 4 (i had left going to 1 and 2 and right going to 3 and 4 DOH!)

also make sure the fuel cut out relay wires are not corroded at all and that the relay is working

and also that the earth is good on the regulator rectifier thing

My bike is now running after doing those few things however mine is now starting to drop down onto 3 cylinders as im riding which is driving me nuts!

alright, my leads are on correctly. i realized i had them on wrong a couple weeks ago. Fixed them, didnt help.

What is the fuel cut off relay and where would i find it?

"and also that the earth is good on the regulator rectifier thing" and what does that mean?

But i was also spraying straight ether down the throats and it didnt fire on that. So even if i wasnt getting gas it shouldve fired on the ether. thats what doesnt make sense.

the fuel cut out relay is situated by the regulator rectifier on by the rear light mounted on the side of the frame the relay has a little white 3 pin plug going to it

it controls the coil as well as the power to the fuel pump its a right pain!

you can test the earth on the regulator with a multi meter its the green wire and it earths out on the frame right next to it you cant miss it once you have the rear seat and fairing off
