Default Nitrous Oxide for f3

OK dont jump on me.
I was just wondering if i could put on a small dry shot system on my 1995 f3 with no ill effects. I dont want anything huge no more than like 15 hp. I like the f3 because it hold the corners well and dont want to pony up the cash for a bigger bike, but my friend has a slightly modded 04 636. he doesnt beat me by much in the striaghts maybe 6 feet from a roll on. I think it would be fun to suprise people and i was going to take my bike to the drag strip this summer.
Would this just be a big dumb idea guaranteed to grenade my bike or could it be done without messing it up?
I dont plan on using the nos all the time just seldomly because i like the corners more than going staight.
or will this never work because its not fuel injected?
i wanted to put on nossle in the airbox and shoot it from there

i woulnt never do a dry shot on a carb anything. if you are going to do it do it right, go wet.

now if you have the carbs rejet to hold up to the 15 shot then you will be fine. but when your not useing it it will run rich as hell and what not. but thats how i see it i could be wrong.

personaly i think some one would see that you have nos. i would save my money and put it in to

1. head work
2. cams
3. chain sprokets
you loseing some weight if needed, (i weigh 230 and could if i wanted lol get to 190 and be a hell of alot fast)

You can put nitrous on a carburated engine. They have it so it injects fuel with the nitrous so you don't change your jetting. I believe I have seen kits for bikes. That would be sweet, but could also hurt the engine...

it will only hurt the engine IF
1. you use it all the time.
2. if the bike is not dyno tuned to be sure that it runing right, IE runing lean when it on ect...
3. if you use too much

nos also causes major wear on the pistons and valves for instance I used to have a 92 5.0 stang with 100hp shot and had it dyno tuned and ran nos about once or twice a week at the strip and the engine lasted me a little more then a year and the engine only had 40,000 on it (it was a crate engine with performance cams and of course alot more performance parts) but this was also do to heavy engine wear because of the drag racing

Hi there - Nos on a F3 is fine - i've got a 70bhp kit on mine - it's a full wet system ( not progressive ) with a 2lb bottle under the seat - i've hacked away the pillion seat underneath to hide it all & welded a braket & used one of the seat bolt to hold the bottle took about a week to fit ( did it at work in lunch hours etc )
I bought the kit complete from a company called dynospeed developments over here & they're really helpfull - I'm running loads of factory pro bits as well which helps.
It's all hidden so if you didn't know you wouldn't guess it's there.
If i ever get round to it i'll post some pics or if you need any info just shout. [:@]
