New motor break-in
I have a '95 CBR600F3 and just swapped it to an F2 engine. It's not a brand new motor, but it has very little miles, and it was sitting in a garage for 10 years. The guy left new oil in the engine and oiled the cylinder walls for storage. It has been this year's winter project for me (swapping the motors and new parts here and there), and since spring is almost here it's about time to start her up for the first time. I was wondering if there is a recommended procedure and/or oil/filter since the new motor hasn't ran in so long. Any recommendations? Thanks
If it has sat that long I'd recommend pouring a bit of engine oil into each cylinder and then rotating the engine by hand a few times with the plugs removed to coat the cylinder walls. Maybe put a shop rag over each spark plug hole to catch any oil that comes out.
Some people rotate the engine by putting it in second gear and turning the rear wheel. Spark plugs removed and ignition off, of course.

your choice really, if you put oil in there its only going to get pulled off by the piston rings and you will get a burnt coating of oil on the crown of the piston.
i would just turn it on let it idle max 1500 and leave it to get warm at that revs, then kill it do the same the next day and the day after
if engine is under 2k miles dont go over 10k rpm or 100mph
its all opinionated due to nobody remembering what honda recommended at the time
