Default need some help with a stubborn bike.

long story short. i have been screwd over by friends and a shop that was looking at my bike for over a year. friend decided to charge me for **** he didnt do then move to florida and give it to another shop without any of my information, took me 6 months to find out where my bike was. then when found i asked the shop to fix it. 6 months later all they had done was dissasemble it. so now i have my bike in 4 pieces. and need some help figguring out what the hell to do.

the original problem was that at high rpm's full throttled in 5th and 6th gear the bike would tremble like it was choking out at anything above 9000 rpms.

now the problem is that the bike wont start (just the carbs i think) but after a good cleaning and soaking i can get the bike to start in Neutral but soon as i put it in gear the bike sputters, chokes, and shuts off. any ideas?

Not to sound stupid but is the kick stand down, and if it is can you try it with the kickstand up and see if it goes into gear? I am wondering if you kill switch wire is loose or disconnected.

not stupid at all, i checked this first. the kick stand is up, and when it goes into gear it isnt a quick shut off. it takes a few seconds and sputters and chokes untill it turns off. not like the immideate shut off like if the kickstand is down.
