I need advice on how much a 96 CBR 600 would be worth. If you want to know the whole story here it goes. My girlfriends sister bought this bike with her boyfriend (theyre both only 16 and 17 years old) and they just broke up. My gfs sister paid for the bike so now its hers and she doesnt kno how to ride so shes gonna sell it. they just bought the bike for 2800 about 2 weeks ago, but about 2 days ago her boyfriend dropped it going like 5 or 10 mph (he was tryin to whip the back end around in gravel and dropped it) so she said she would sell it to me but ijust wanted to kno how much u guys would offer her. i believe it has 12,000-15,000 miles im not sure about that. but how much would u guys pay for this bike, it will be my first so i kno it will be a good starter and ive already ridden it once up and down the road so i was just needing some input thanks.

 

WHAT damage did it do when he dropped it??

 

he just scratched it a little, not serious damage and since its my first bike i dont really care that much if it hasa few scratches

 

well depending on whats all on the bike, but you can buy a decent bike for 2k or so. if not a bit less.

 

id say anywhere between 2k-2.5k . depends on clean or salvaged title. how are the tires. whats the condition of the chain/sprockets.

I paid $3200 for my 98...but then when you look at how clean it is and all the upgrades I guess i didnt do so bad...

 

2200 for my 96 had rash but really low miles. 18xxx. clean title.
