I'm an idiot. Maybe I should read all the posts before commenting. I see you (6 fingered man) have already referred to a piggy back style shock. Nice job so far on the 748 tail. A few years ago I put an '05 R1 subframe and tail on a mates GSXR1100. The dude was going for a streetfighter look. I say look because he couldn't ride for ****.

Sorry to jump in on your thread but here's a crappy 1.2mp pic of the GSXR1100.

Ah I didn't realized you fabricated a subframe for this!! I'm doing the same thing but with an 848 tail and I found the stock ducati subframe so I bought it and now I have to deal with figuring out how to mount it... This thread helped spur ideas though! Awesome bike!

Sorry, been a while since i posted, because nothign really cool has hapend, just some fitting and finisging on the work that has been done, paint on the frame. Mounting the damper and switch and stuff like that.

Really my focus has been on the racebike in the last month. But here are some pics of where its at today, i hope to finish most of the bike tomorrow, started to prep the tank and tail for paint.

Been a while.. The bike went to 3/4 finished then got put on the street. So far so good. Some carb issues I believe stemming from the ram air tubes being off and highway cross winds pressurizing and de-pressurizing the air box. I have my cb750 back on the road so this bike will come off for a 929 swing arm and 09 cbr front end as well as figuring out the air box. It might need an airbox box...

Here are the pics with the tail on it.
