Default F2 to R1 Tail conversion Help

Thinking about converting my F2's tail into a '06 Yamaha R1 tail. Every time I see a tail conversion it seems that whoever is doing the conversion makes their own custom subframe. I'm not good with welding or metal work. Wondering if I could just cut the F2 subframe(since it's all one piece) and get a R1 subframe and have it welded to the F2 frame???

Thanks, Ryan

i think you would have to make some support brackets. theres someone on here that has done that conversion before. it looks freakin sweet too.

Would you happen to know who it was, I would love to see what it looks like done.

And all the pieces of the 2004-2006 (year i was thinking) R1 tail are relatively cheap. it would be about $300 for the subframe, tail fairing, undertail fairing, integrated tail light, seat and passenger seat.

Decided to go with a Yamaha 2006-2007 R6 tail conversion.

This is what the '06-'07 R6 tail looks like:

Also going with a smoked integrated tail light as well. A couple kinds out there, but this is the actual one I decided to go with:

Yamaha YZF R6 Sequential Signals Integrated LED Tail Lights by Motodynamic.com - $70 on ebay

I will try and give updates on progress with Pictures/Videos as it comes along.

Neither lol. I have no front end, in the process of building a unique streetfighter. Heres some vids off my youtube page of what it looks/ sounds like so far:
