My Black 1998 F3
Hi all, I'm from the UK and I picked up a 1998 CBR 600 F3 a few weeks ago after selling my 2000 Hornet 600. Was up for sale for £1650 but got it for £1450 with 12 months MOT, new front tyre, basic service, lady owner for the past 2 years (done 1,000 mile since she bought it for £2400).
It's done 23,000 miles and is in pretty good condition, all standard apart from things like the rim tape (due to be removed!), screen and indicators, I think it previously had a different can on due to the stickers on the swingarm.
It hasn't had the 16,000 mile service but seems to run perfect, it was occasionally spluttering in 1st gear when I got it but I ran a full tank with some fuel additives and it runs so much better now.
One thing that does annoy me, is the rubber that houses the mirrors, it keeps popping out, I put a hairdryer on it and thought I melted it back on but it popped back off shortly, any ideas?
Anyway, pics below! Comments welcome

Very nice ride. The UK did get some really nice paint schemes. In this photo of yours, it looks like you've got your mirrors pulled too far forward. There is a particular position that the metal arms that are inside the soft rubber covers need to be in, so that the soft rubber covers will fit correctly. You should push your mirror assemblies more toward the front of the bike, or away from the rider. You want it to pivot near the mounting point, not out near the mirrors themselves. Naturally, you'll have to reset the angles of the mirrors anyway after you push them out so you can see what's behind you again.

Hi m8 great looking bike you will enjoy it, as for the mirrors I had same prob with mine easy fix is just a small bead of super glue around the rubber then attach it works a treat, if you have to remove the mirrors it just peels away, done it on mine and so have loads of my m8s with no probs

Not enough pics dude, maybe chuck on about 50 more. Lol. But seriously, the paint looks perfect. Obviously the English sunshine isn't as intense as our Australian sunshine that funks everything up after a while. I've got the exact same model and colour scheme and it's good to see what the tinted double bubble screen looks like. Me likey.

lovely bike alan,i have the same but red/white/purple.
as for the mirrors they just need pushing out like mentioned before, untill the rubber stays on the brass holders (thats if the holders have not been taken off and put back on the wrong way!) ,then adjust the lenses to see past your elbows!
enjoy
