My 1995 F3
I thought I'd share the story of my F3, I bought it a couple of months ago from a friend for just £550 and this is how it arrived.
He'd owned it for 10 years but barely used it, he had it serviced and fitted new tyres three years ago and then never used it, so it was stuck in the corner of his garage, flithy, unused and very unloved.
The main problem was that it had been down on the RHS so looked really scruffy and the left had side seat cowl had broken and been badly repaired. It ran very badly, which I put down to old fuel. It also had no idle screw fitted which was interesting!
I repaired the RHS fairing with touch up paint, cutting polish and some correct coloured vinyl, and got lucky with a used eBay infill panel
The rear seat infill panel had a chunk missing so I found a good used one and repainted it.
I got lucky with the LHS seat cowl, a perfect one popped up on eBay in the right colour scheme after a 6 week search.
I also put a baffle in the Micron to quieten it down a bit.
So it's now looking pretty good and personally I really like the colour scheme which was only used for about a year on the early F3's, The bike has only done 28,000 miles and is all original apart from the mini indicators and full Micron system. I've now had the carbs re-built, however although it's much smoother and rideable, it still hesitates between 5,000 and 7,000 revs so next job is to replace the ram air solenoid (I've sourced a new one) and if that doesn't do it, have look at the fuel pump and petcock.
But cosmetically now I'm fairly pleased with it, ideally I'd like to refit the original indicators, find some downpipes and re-fit the original exhaust (which was included in the purchase)

I love it when people show resourcefulness in their restoration job, I really like your spray booth

Gorgeous ride, Gunk! The mid 90's CBRs are the pinnacle of sport bike beauty IMHO, and that color scheme is one of the best. I really like the smaller signals, too. Once I get my 94 running a bit better I think that will be the first cosmetic mod I do.
