You can throw in a 900, but are you dragging seriously, or just to screwing around? If you're seirous, a 900 engine in an F3 is still going to get smoked by a modern 1L, unless the 1L driver is goofy. With the amount of time and money you'd invest into this, you could just get a gig delivering pizzas for a bit instead, and save up the cash for a big bike fairly quickly.

When i was building my zx6e streetfighter a guy had just baught a bike that had this swap done to it allready on one of the streetfighters forum, it was a 900 engine but everything else like the loom and the coil packs were 600 parts. when he took the engine out the rear bottom engine mount on the righthand side when sat on the bike had been cut off and wounted 2" further out (See Pic 1 below) the frame had been cut for the top of the engine to be able to fit in and were we have that little triangular metal plate that holds the top of our engines in he had made a biker one that supported the new engine in multiple places and the rest of it was just washers.

Correct, there is NO "drop in" engine swap. They all have differently placed mounting points. This doesn't mean it's impossible, it just means you're going to have to weld new bolt threads to the frame, and you have to be a good welder to make your joints hold up that wait while the bike hits potholes, etc. After that you're looking at custom hoses and stuff to get all your air and fluids to the different points on the new engine.
