Default motor swaps

Hey yall im about to buy an 06 cbr 600rr motor off of ebay and install it in a 400ex quad frame. I wanted to know if any one has done this! If so how fast will it go? What kind of frame mods will need to be done? Hows the rideability(suspension action) and how hard was the install?

im just curious about something... your buying the motor with the intent to put it in the quad yet you didnt do any research on it before hand.. you dont know what mods need to be done to it.. what are your goals for this project.. it kinda seems you just bought something for a good deal (lets hope) and decided to put it in something you already have.. im a lil nervous for you undertaking such a project, have you ever done anything like this before ? im all up for taking stuff and making it into something else but just make sure you arent gonna end up over your head with this .. good luck

If you have the tools and the talent, go for it! Sounds cool, I wish I had a fab shop! Let me know how it goes. If you can get it to work, I would guess around 100 mph on a four wheeler, of course depending on gearing!

If you go to streetfire.net, there is a video up of a quad with a 600RR engine in it. I believe all you have to do is search for CBR 600RR. They said the 0-60 was around 5 seconds, which isn't too bad being the quad is a lot heavier.

Hey yall! "Havoc" many custom fabs in the past just none on a quad frame. Im a master welder, who can use tig, mig, and arc welders. I alsoknow how gusset stuff to make it stronger which i know will have to be done. Oh yea folks i have found a better deal on an 05 1000rr motor thats complete and has like 800 mi on it! I think ill start bidding on it when it gets closer to the auction close!

"christopher" sounds good i didnt mean any disrespect by my post hope u didnt see it as that, but ive dealt with alot of people who constantly try to undertake a project without knowing anything about it... but with your knowledge and experience you should be able to get the quad up and running quickly.. post some pixs when ur done .. good luck !
