If you read my previous post, I made a mistake in jump starting my bike with a car. Which can be done, but the car have to be off, which I forgot to do and all hell brokeloose on my electronics.

Well got the new (used) CDI, installed and it stopped blowing the starter etc..... fuse. and it cranked, but ran like crap. Call the guy that I purchase the new R/R from because the one he sent went bad. Installed the new R/R and now it is firing on all cylinders, but won't stay running for long. As soon as I touch the throttle it shuts off, but if I don't touch the throttle it will run by itself for about 10 seconds longer.

But, still have a problem with my speedo and tach not working, along with the front blinkers. I hear the tach runs off the ignition pulse sensor (IPS), with I got one off of ebay and trace the diagram and found that the blinker ground wire is connected to the IPS. Paid for it today, so I won't see it until Monday or Tuesday of next week (DANG!!!).

But, glad progess is made and looking forward to ride again, been three weeks now an I am going crazy.
