I bought a 97 F3 back in November and it has become a project bike for me. It runs great but needs some cosmetic work. It came with the stock Exhaust in hand and a "Micron" Exhaust attached. Anyone know about this company? I researched it a bit and havent really found anything. All I know is that its extremely loud. Should I put the stock back on? Thanks!

 

Micron went bust a few years back, probably why you wont find too much recent news about them.

Great quality exhausts though which do tend to be loud without the baffles fitted!

 

Micron exhaust used to be pretty reputable (I thought); I didn't know they went out. If the sound level bothers you than I say switch, but as far as quality I'm fairly sure Micron made good systems. So it's up to you. Good luck with the project!

 

I bought my 96 with a full micron system. It is very loud when you open it up, but casual riding is pretty good sounding. I researched for a while and didn't find much about them either, but what i did read is they made decent exhausts, so i decided to keep mine. Anyway, Ive learned that a loud exhaust may be the only thing that cagers notice when riding on freeways.
