Lowering
Got a 95 f3 that I'm going to either put a dogbone on or a protek adjustable dog bone on to lower the rear .5-1inch. I know it throws stuff off and I'm going to do it no matter what. My question is to keep is geometrically correct how much would I raise the forks to compensate for the rear? I've read the same amount. Same amount plus 1/8. And idk what to believe. Thanks in advance
I'm not a fan of lowering. That being said, the goal is to keep the steering head angle the same relative to the ground. Raising the fork tubes in the clamps is not going to be a direct 1:1. You need a way to measure the steering head angle precisely, and then after it's been lowered in the rear, adjust the height of the forks until you get that angle again. You'll probably have to shorten your side stand too after.
