Wanted to get an idea when a stock f3 rectifier usually burns out... My bike has 20K and I just want to get an idea when I can expect to get stranded LOL

Im trying to prepare for this by perhaps having this part handy at home in case I run into this situation..

If all you guys that have changed this part remember what mileage you had that would be great!

What's a RECTIFIER ??? I have 93 f-2 w/59xxx mile's I don't want to get standed either[:@]

 

its this little device in your bike that converts DC current from your alternator to AC current so you battery gets recharged (or vice versa, Ac to DC something like that). Well anyways, this is part of your charging system, if this little devise fails its just as if your alternator died in your car.

Problem is that this is a common mishap on F3's so I just want to be ready when it does happen to me cos being stuck in the middle of nowhere and paying tow trucks suck!
