Apparently the metal piece that is holding my license plate and license plate light on my 97 600f3 is not the originial. It causes the license plate to scrape the back tire because of how low it makes the plate sit and it wont pass inspection. I'm having a HELL of a time trying to find the original. Any ideas? Thanks!

 

It sounds like your rear fender has been cut off (as have many a F3). If your fender is not intact, then you're going to have to fabricate one depending on how yours looks. Here is the factory parts.
