Yes, all stock except for the D&D exhaust as far as i know of.

I just dont care to look up at the sky when trying to launch.
learn feathering the clutch, and slip it some when launching. it helps.

your suspension also plays a factor. softer rear suspension will help absorb the sudden shift in weight so your bike doesnt jump skyward.

and size being too big for a 600 is TOTAL BULL. I know a man that weighs like 350 pounds and does just fine on his 600. so dont think you're too big for a bike or use that as justification to go to a much larger bike either.
I believe the manual recommends up to 250 on the F3. Can it still be ridden? Yes. I remember back in the day my first car was a 93 Ford Escort. It had NO power and when I would pick up my 350lbs friend, the car would lean and I could definitely feel a difference in breaking and acceleration. The bikes are engineered for controlled specifics and weight is one of them. IMO, your friend needs another bike. LOL

The key to launching your 98 is practice, practice, and more practice!
Too much weight on the front end spins the rear. Not enough throttle on the jump and the bike bogs off the line.You must find the fine line between breaking it loose and keeping it on the ground.
Time and practice are your friends.
