Default Known issues for our CBR F3's

I just bought my bike last weekend and I was wondering if there was a repository of known issues that our bikes have throughout their lives.

For example, its known that the CTT is to go at some point.

If a list doesn't already exist lets start one here so new comers like myself and people who would like to practice preventative maintenance on their bikes can do so.

These bikes are pretty damn solid. I had 25k on mine before i sold it and never had anything fail.

Yeah they are a great bike, some get probs with the regulator (search this site) mine did at about 20000's klms & then I replaced with a heavy duty item so it would not happen again.
Been told to keep an eye on front wheel bearings, but have had no issues there.
Enjoy.

CCT's, reg/rec, the seats have a tendancy to tear, the back tail is 3 seperate pieces and those tabs break easy, trip meter gauge tends to break, look for rusted chain tensioners (bolt & nut @ the end of the swingarm). other then that the f3's are awsome bikes. ive owned 2 and i plan to own another to sit next to my 929 they are just great bikes

Speeding tickets and multiple other violations will develop if the right precautions aren’t taken. LOL, I haven’t had any problems with mine outside of what I’ve done to it myself by dropping it. The only thing to watch out for would be like Havoc mentioned about the three piece tail. That plastic is brittle so be careful with it…that damn center piece goes for well over $50!

Cannot fault them, in terms of price, looksand reliability I don't think anything comes close to them, even performance wise my 97FV will keep up with my mates 03RR, Like northernfirepower said the worst thing about them is all the speeding tickets you will get.
