guys a little help please.. i was about to go on a ride a few weeks ago and while i was turning the (cheap duplicate) key, i accidentaly broke it in half. meaningi had one half of the keyin myfingers andthe other half stuck in the keyhole. does anyone have an idea on how to take it out? also, another fact, is that i got to start the motor and everything just before it broke. i had to turn it off again with a flathead. should i take the keyhole apart? seems like a tough job...then again, ideas are welcome.. thanks in advance guys...

 

Get a pair of hemostats from WalMart in the fishing section. THey have different sizes - one of them should be able to dig it out.

But if you're going to get akey made for it (around $65 to have a locksmith come out and do it), just let them do it. It's pretty much included in the charge. It will be nothing for him to dig it out.

 

if u dont have a lot of money u could try a magnet or some seal picks

that same thing happend to me like 3 weeks ago, i used a flat head and a broken tire plug installer thing....red neck inginuity at its finest, but it worked...i have like 3 copy's of my key and alway's keep on in my wallet just incase something like that happens when im out
