I would have to say no, I don't believe Honda engineered a tick in the engine.lol It doesn't sound to me like a broken header bolt would make a tick, it may be your vavles, they have been known to make a ticking sound from time to time.

These are engines with moving parts....they're going to make noise. There is no such thing as a quiet engine.

It's true what Abad says - however if you're not satisfied with that answer...

You could pull the fairings off and get close to the running engine and try to pinpoint it. If you can, tell us where it's coming from, what side of the bike and if it makes the sound louder or quiter when the engine is revved.

Good luck - may be nothing - may be something. However they will make noises.

Sounds to me like valves, probably nothing wrong, may need an adjustment. Is it a faint noise, or is it really noticable? If you have to listen closely to hear it, then thats normal.
